Entry to the Lower Kindergarten (LKG) takes place at the start of the term in which the child will turn 3 (Sept/Jan/April). The children attend for 3 or 5 mornings. All children will then transfer to Upper Kindergarten (UKG) the following September. Attendance at this stage is 5 full mornings - afternoon attendance is optional. Children entering the LKG in April will spend just one term in LKG before transfer to the UKG the following September. 2. The School Day
3. Fees and Withdrawal Click here for details of fees. All fees are payable on or before the first day of the term for which they are due. A full term's notice to cancel the acceptance of a place or to withdraw a child from school must be given in writing to the Headmaster. Unless such notice is given, a full term's fees are payable. A non-refundable deposit is payable on acceptance of a place. This deposit is deducted from the first term's fees. 4. Contact with Parents Teachers are available at the beginning and end of every day if parents need to see them. Parents' evenings are held in the Autumn and Summer Term to discuss in more detail a child's progress. Written reports are sent home twice a year. On joining the school, parents automatically become members of the the St Christopher's Association (our parents' association). This Committee is extremely active in organising social events throughout the year for children and parents, and assisting at many school events. 5. Lunch Kindergarten children who choose to stay for afternoon activities are asked to bring a packed lunch. From Reception upwards, the children all have a hot school lunch. The cost for this is included in the fees. 6. SCAMPS Before and after school supervision from 8.00am until 5.00pm is available for those parents who need it. "SCAMPS" is run by experienced and qualified assistants and the children are kept busy completing homework before involving themselves in a number of different play, craft or spot activities. A daily fee is payable for this scheme. Details can be obtained from the school office. 7. Uniform School uniform is compulsory for all children. It is available from R.J. Bryant in West Wickham. The Parents Association holds a weekly second hand sale of uniform during term time.
