Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make, and at St Christopher’s The Hall we aim to make the process as clear, supportive, and welcoming as possible.
Our main entry points are Preschool (3+), Reception (4+), and Year 3 (7+), though we occasionally have spaces in other year groups and warmly welcome enquiries throughout the year.
Throughout the process, our dedicated Admissions Manager is on hand to answer questions, guide you through each step, and ensure your family feels supported and welcomed.

Preschool (3+)
Our Preschool is often the start of a child’s journey with us. Entry takes place at the start of the academic year in which a child turns 4, with places offered on a first-come, first-served basis, after a visit and a Stay and Play session.
Children attend five mornings per week, with the option of up to five afternoons. A freshly prepared hot lunch is available, or children may bring a packed lunch. Most pupils naturally continue into our Reception classes, ensuring a smooth transition into formal schooling.
Reception (4+)
We offer a small number of places in Reception for children joining us from outside our Preschool. These are allocated following a friendly, play-based assessment in the Autumn Term before entry.

Year 3 (7+)
Entry at Year 3 is through an assessment day held in the Autumn term prior to joining. Applicants spend a day with us, taking part in lessons, activities, and assessments, giving them the chance to experience our vibrant school life first-hand.
