St. Christopher's offers a wide range of co-curricular opportunities for children in both the Lower School and Prep School. Some clubs are run by staff and others, such as Dance, Judo and Chess, are led by external specialists.
Academic clubs cover languages, such as Spanish, as well as Computer Science, Chess and Maths.
Performing Arts and creativity are encouraged through Art Club, Musical Production, Dance, Tap and Drama Club, which provides the opportunity to take LAMDA graded examinations in Performance.
There is also a wide range of sports clubs available, including short tennis, mini Olympics, football, gymnastics, table tennis, athletics, judo and netball.
Clubs run at lunchtime or immediately after school and are charged in addition to normal school fees.
School trips and visits
Children in all years from Reception upwards are engaged in active learning outside the classroom through a broad programme of trips and visits. These range from day visits, such as a Reception trip to High Elms Country Park and Year 2 visiting The Tower of London, to outward bound residential trips in the Prep School and a 3 night stay in France for Year 6. The School also enjoys frequent visits from external theatre companies and other specialist speakers.
These initiatives support all elements of the curriculum, enhance the children's learning and encourage the development of life skills and resilience.
