Mission Statement
The school exists to provide a happy and hard-working environment where all pupils can find the opportunity to develop their talents to the full within a wide and well-balanced curriculum. Each pupil is treated as an individual and encouraged to aim for the highest standards in whatever he/she is doing
Aims
- To deliver a high quality inspirational teaching and learning experience for our pupils that promotes high standards for all
- To develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours that will allow pupils to fulfil their potential, to know the difference between right and wrong, acquire resilience and be courteous.
- To prepare our pupils for the 11+ school entrance, and equip them to succeed at their new schools
- To emphasise the breadth of the curriculum, including Computing, Drama, French, Music and Sport, as well as English, Mathematics and Science
- To nurture and support all abilities, helping every child to achieve his/her potential in every area of learning – intellectual, emotional, physical, social, moral, spiritual and cultural
- To ensure pupils feel safe and secure, and enjoy coming to school
- To develop learning activities which stimulate positive models of enquiry, reflection, challenge and innovation
- To value and recognise the uniqueness and achievement of every member of our school family
- To promote British values and attitudes of care, tolerance, trust and respect within the school and wider communities
- To promote good teamwork and positive partnerships – with individual children, the whole class, our colleagues, with governors, parents and the wider community
- To run as a non-profit making Charity, managed prudently and efficiently, so as to keep fees as low as possible and re-investing any surplus to the benefit of the pupils
