Remembrance at St. Christopher's The Hall - New pictures added Print E-mail
This year as it is 100 years since Armistice Day we have followed the Bristish Legion's theme of Every One Remembered and created our own tribute at school called Every Child Remembers.
Using poppies given by a local British Legion group every child in school wired one onto the mesh background to create our banner which is hanging by the school entrance gate.
The following Relatives of families in school have been remembered on a cross in our garden of Remembrance:
Corporal Joseph Burden
Lance Corporel Edward Burden
Robert McVeigh
Lance Corporal Frederick Ernest Davis
RIfleman Sidney Vernon, Kings Royal Rifle Corp 4th Battalion
Charles Henry Church
Private James Bell, Irish Guards
2nd Lt Andrew Baxter
Private Edwin Samuel Turtle
Petty Officer James Drummond
Private Frederick James Purton
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
Mrs Purton.
