Congratulations to Year 4 for their results in the Sumdog Bromley Maths Competition...
The year 4 children have recently been trialling an online Maths Resource called Sumdog.
Following an initial diagnostic test, the children are able to partake in several online games aimed at their particular ability level and focusing on areas where they have indicated a weakness.
During the tria,l the children were entered into a local competition competing against other local schools. Over a week the children answered up to 1000 questions aimed at their particular ability level. Scores from all the children entered in each class were then averaged out across the class members. Participation from both Year 4 classes was exceptional, with several answering the full 1000 questions.
At the end of the week, 4A was placed overall winner and 4B were placed 3rd.
152 students took part in the competition and Mila Poulton, 4A, was the overall winner achieving an amazing total of 971 correct answers out of 1000.
The children really enjoyed taking part in the competition on top of their school online learning and are enthusiastic to carry on playing.
Congratulations to all those that took part.
