ISA National Schools Swimming Championship

Congratulations to the children who swam so brilliantly in this event and thank you to parents and to Miss Atkinson for supporting them on a Saturday...

Wow - what a day!

Well done to the St. Christopher’s swimmers who gave up going to the school Christmas fair to swim at the ISA National Schools Swimming Championships.

The day began at 11 am, with the swimmers reporting the London South team managers, then collecting hats and goodie bags and making their way on to poolside for warm ups.

The day got off to a great start for the London South team, with medals coming in thick and fast for the senior swimmers, but not to be out done the juniors definitely stepped up to the challenge.

Chloe Shiu won silver in the Year 4 breaststroke.  Poppy won gold in both the Year 4 frontcrawl and backstroke.  Nathaniel  came fourth in the Year 6 breaststroke and won bronze in the Year 6 medal relay.  Jessica Shiu won bronze in the Year 6 girls medal relay and swam in the Year 8 girls medley relay, coming 4th.  Scarlett came 5th in the Year 5 girls frontcrawl.  Hannah, Anya, Scarlett and Poppy came sixth in the Year 5 girls freestyle relay.

An amazing team effort and great team spirit .
Well done to all of you - so so proud!
