Update from the Governors
The Governors would like to update parents on the open forum and their latest meeting...
The Governors would like to thank both the parents who attended the open forum on Tuesday evening and those who completed the questionnaire. It is a sign of a strong community that so many parents are willing to engage in constructive dialogue and the governors welcome the chance to have a dialogue with parents. We will be publishing a summary of the questionnaire responses and details of the discussion at the open forum session on the website next week.
At the Governors’ meeting on Thursday, we confirmed that we are happy with the action plan the Senior Management Team has put in place to address the matters arising from the ISI inspection and that, in fact, we believe all points have now been remedied. The action plan has been submitted to both the DFE and the ISI and we will share the next steps to be taken by these bodies as and when we are informed of their decision.
We also discussed our priorities for the coming year, which will include revisiting our Mission and Aims to ensure they reflect the evolving nature of the school, working with the new Senior Management Team to explore their approach to key subjects and how the children's academic progress and attainment is measured and monitored. On a practical note, we will be looking to refurbish the Kindergarten block and are finalising plans in that regard.
