House Football and Hockey Results
Please read on for a review of this term's sporting activities and the results of the house football and hockey competitions...
During this term the PE Department have been working on a four-week rotational programme consisting of football, hockey and cricket, with netball recently added.
It has been a source of great enjoyment watching the development and improvement of co-ed sports. The standard of hockey and football has made excellent progress and this has seen some of our Year 6 girls participate in a trial for the Bromley and Orpington football team. Well done girls!
We continued to run our house football competitions for both boys and girls, and we also held a mixed hockey competition throughout all the year groups.
The competitions were spilt into groups of Year 3 and 4 and Year 5 and6 and all matches were played during PE lessons and Games afternoons.
In the football competition, the Campbell boys' teams took an early and encouraging lead, with Johnson hot on their heels and Blyton and Hillary working hard to stay competitive.
After a very close and exciting set of matches the final football results were:
1st place Campbell - 67 points
2nd place Johnson - 60 points
3rd place Blyton - 57 points
4th place Hillary - 32 points
The hockey was just as exciting and the skill level truly impressive. There were some very close matches, which added to the excitement and suspense.
The final hockey competition results were as follows:
1st place Blyton - 37 points
2nd place Campbell - 33 points
3rd place Johnson - 30 points
4th place Hillary - 30 points
Well done to all the children for their effort and enthusiasm!
