Hospice Walk - letter from Mrs Purton
It is now only 3 weeks until the biannual FunWalk held at Keston Common to raise funds for St. Christopher's Hospice. As a school we have a longstanding relationship with the hospice, and have participated in the walk every time since 1995! We always raise a phenomenal amount for them, and are proud to have been awarded the 'plate for best school' nearly every time.
We no longer walk as an organised team, as we did in the early days, but encourage our families to join in at a time, and distance that is convenient for them. The shortest walk is suitable for young children, and takes in a scenic route around Keston ponds and through the woodland - and is suitable for buggies. The more adventurous of you might like to try the longer walks of 5, 8 or 12 miles - the latter of which has been completed by many of our pupils over the years!
To register, and for further details please click on the link https://www.stchristophers.org.uk/funwalk
If you are participating, please ensure that you enter the team name ' St. Christopher's School' so that your donations can be attributed to our collective fundraising.
I will be at the finishing line all day again this year - so will be handing you your medals when you complete your walk! I look forward to seeing lots of you again this year, and thank you in advance for your support of this very worthwhile local cause.
Mrs. A. Purton
